Custom king

Hey, what do you know? Turns out that a king size quilt will fit on my kitchen floor. Of course, I had to move all the chairs, the bench, and the table out. Still, I was worried I might have to high tail it to the church cafeteria.

Think a large quilt surcharge is in order though. Took about 1 1/2 hours to pin, including floor cleaning time. My backside is aching a bit. Guess I'm not as young as I used to be, hehehe:)

This should be a fun one though. All custom, and carte blanche (not sure if I spelled that right) ahhhhh.

Stay tuned (in a few weeks) for photos to follow...

  1. Looks like great fun, enjoy!
    Have a great day.
    Always, Queenie

  2. That is a beautiful quilt, it will only be raised to an even higher level when you work your quilting magic upon it! Can't wait to see what you do, good luck, that is one HUGE project!

  3. with mien that are this large I have to set aside time to use the tables at the LQS for pinning if I plan on standing the following day -- beautiful quilt

  4. when I saw the photo I was thinking that is a big quilt, so big it takes up your whole kitchen. Now I know why. I can imagine how tough that would have been to pin that one. I would have needed help getting off the floor. LOL
